Little Victories

Last night my 5-year old son came up to me and asked to “play the game with the man with black hair who rides boats and makes houses." The game in question being Beyond the Storm, which has been in a suspended state for the last year.

As creators we tend to see what is missing, or what isn’t working just right. We overlook the good parts and underappreciate the amount of work that has gone into our creations. So, for me, it was a victory that among all the potential games he could have asked for he asked for mine.

And yes, one day I will get around to letting you sit in the chairs and go to sleep in the beds.
